Kevo Access

Sonlife Church Key Policy

This policy should be read and understood by all enquirers seeking key access to the Sonlife Church building.

Temporary key holders should also be familiar with the Room Booking Policy and Terms & Conditions.

In order for timely processing of your request, please submit your booking request as early as possible. Key requests require at least one week’s notice, or else run the risk that the key may not be issued in time.

Access to the church building

Sonlife Church is dedicated to the glory of God. Individuals and groups who are sympathetic to these purposes, from both the church and within the community, are welcome to hire the facilities and may be issued keys if necessary. Anyone requesting a permanent or temporary key must submit an application.

Sonlife Church uses the Kevo electronic key system, which requires a compatible mobile device to operate the electronic lock. It is the responsibility of the person requesting the key to get hold of a compatible phone.

The Senior Pastor and the Executive Leadership Team are responsible for managing access to the building, and reserve the right to request the return of a key at any time. The church office shall keep an accurate record of all key holders.

Permanent keys

Permanent keys are issued to Sonlifers or employees of the Church only, or at the discretion of the Senior Pastor.

Temporary keys

Temporary keys may be issued on a one-time use basis for approved functions or events, at the discretion of the Senior Pastor or members of the Executive Leadership Team.

Key Holder Responsibilities

All keyholders should ensure the keys are:

  • Used according to the approved purpose as stated in the application
  • NOT duplicated, loaned, or made available to others.
  • Returned promptly to the church office the next business day after the proposed use, expiration of the term of service, and/or termination of employment.

When leaving the building, the last key holder is responsible for securing ALL doors and windows, turning off lights and air conditioning, and arming the security alarm. (Refer to Kevo procedures emailed to you when your request is approved.)

Safekeeping of keys

The holder of a key assumes the responsibility for the safekeeping of the key and its use. Lost or stolen keys (including loss of mobile phones where the electronic key is stored) must be reported to the church office immediately.
